Russian UFC women's flyweight division fighter Victoria Dudakova commented on her performance at UFC 294.
On October 21 in Abu Dhabi, Dudakova defeated American Jin Yu Frey by unanimous decision of the judges.
Dudakova said:
I had staphylococcus, I had inflammation in places you don’t usually name, all last month. Yesterday, my managers were arguing with the UFC doctors because they said that if they had known about my condition earlier, I wouldn't have been allowed to fight. We didn't want to drink antibiotics and didn't want to tell anyone about this problem.
Dudakova, 24, had her previous fight in July 2023 at UFC on ESPN 49, defeating Istela Nunes by technical knockout in the first round. She has eight wins and no losses on her record.
Yu Frey, 38, previously stepped into the octagon in June 2023 at UFC on ESPN 46, losing to Elise Reed via unanimous decision. She has 11 wins and ten losses on her record.
