UFC flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja commented on the fight between Brandon Royval and Brandon Moreno at UFC Fight Nights 237.
In an interview with Sherdog Pantoja said:
I think the whole stage was set for Moreno to win and come to Rio. The fight was very even and the fact that he beat Moreno months after I won five rounds against him [Royval] shows the level I'm at.
Recall that the Royval vs. Moreno fight took place on the morning of February 25 in the main event of UFC Fight Night 237. Their showdown lasted the full distance of five rounds and ended with Royval's victory by a split decision.
The 33-year-old Pantoja last stepped into the octagon in December 2023 at UFC 296, where he secured a victory over Brandon Royval by a unanimous decision. He holds a record of 27 wins and five losses.
