American mixed martial arts fighter Khalil Rountree has been suspended from fighting for two months after he self-reported a violation of the UFC's anti-doping policy.
According to the UFC, the fighter's disqualification comes into effect on May 4. Khalil was found to have taken supplements that contained a banned substance.
Due to the sanctions against Rountree, his fight against former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill, which was scheduled to take place on June 30 at UFC 303 in Las Vegas (USA), was called off.
Rountree last stepped into the octagon against Anthony Smith in December 2023 at UFC Fight Night 233. That fight, which was stopped in the third round, ended in Khalil's favor by technical knockout. Rountree has 13 wins and five losses on his record, with one fight ruled a no contest.
