Prochazka: Maybe It Sounds Crazy, But I’m Working toward Being the Champion Again

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka has spoken about the possibility of a third fight against Brazilian Alex Pereira.

Jiri Prochazka for Bloody Elbow
Maybe it sounds crazy or whatever, but I’m working towards being the champion [again]. Every time, I’m just focused on what’s before me. What’s the next step? Right now, it’s Jamahal Hill. Next? We will see who will be the champion and if it’ll be Alex. For me right now, if there will be a third fight with Alex, that for me would be really the fight for my life…

The first bout between Pereira and Prochazka took place in November 2023. In that match, which was stopped in the second round, Alex won by technical knockout. The second fight saw Pereira defeat Jiri by knockout in the first round. Prochazka’s record in mixed martial arts stands at 30 wins, four losses, and one draw, while Pereira has 10 victories and two defeats on his record.
