A five-round lightweight bout between American Dustin Poirier and Frenchman Benoit Saint-Denis will take place in the co-main event of UFC 299 on March 9.
The announcement was made by league CEO Dana White on social media.
Saint-Denis last fought against Matt Frevola this past November at UFC 295. In that confrontation, Benoit won by knockout in the first round. He has 13 wins and one loss on his record.
Poirier last stepped into the octagon against Justin Gaethje in July 2023 at UFC 291. That fight, which was stopped in the second round, ended in a knockout loss for Dustin. He has 29 wins and eight losses on his record.
