Famous UFC lightweight Paddy Pimblett clarified the reasons behind his significant weight gain following his bouts in the world's premier fighting league.
Paddy Pimblett on the StillTalkingShow podcast
When I put [my body] in starvation mode for a week [to make weight for the fight], my body holds on to everything. So as soon as I have salty stuff, it just holds the water in me. That’s why I look bloated rather than fat.
Pimblett last entered the octagon against Bobby Green in July 2024 at UFC 304. That fight, which was stopped in the first round, ended in favor of Paddy with a technical submission. He holds a record of 22 wins and three losses.
