Newly crowned PFL heavyweight champion, Brazilian Renan Ferreira challenged Cameroonian Francis Ngannou to a fight after his victory over Russian Denis Goltsov.
Immediately after the Goltsov fight Ferreira said:
I'm the new PFL heavyweight champion. Francis, I'm here. I'm waiting for you.
The bout between Ferreira and Goltsov took place on November 25 in Washington, D.C., USA at PFL 10. In this confrontation Renan won by technical knockout in the second round. He has 12 wins and three losses on his record.
Ngannou's last fight was against WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury in October this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In that confrontation, Francis was defeated by a split decision of the judges. He has 17 wins and three losses on his record in MMA.
