The inaugural tournament of the GFL league will feature a lightweight bout between Anthony Pettis and Benson Henderson on May 24 in Las Vegas, USA.
This announcement was made by famous insider Ariel Helwani on social media. Their first fight took place in December 2010 during WEC 53, where Pettis won by unanimous decision, becoming the champion of the organization. They faced off again at UFC 164, and once more, Pettis triumphed over Henderson, this time by submission in the first round, claiming the title of the strongest league.
In their third fight, which took place at Karate Combat 43 in December 2023, Pettis won again by unanimous decision.
