Plinio Cruz, coach of UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira, revealed that the Brazilian fighter intends to return to the octagon in the second half of 2024.

This guy's crazy, maybe that's why he trained [on Monday]. He said 'Listen, this is my second sparring for my camp for Perth, I want to fight on that card'. I said 'No, no, no. Pump the brakes a little bit.' I wouldn't be surprised [if he fights at UFC 305]. He's crazy, bro. Maybe, you never know.
Recall, UFC 305 will take place on August 17 in Perth, Australia.
The 36-year-old Alex Pereira last fought on June 30 at UFC 303, defeating Jiri Prochazka by technical knockout in the second round. In April at UFC 2024, Pereira knocked out Jamahal Hill in the first round at UFC 300. Alex has 11 wins and two losses.
