Brazilian UFC fighter Alex Pereira reacted to league middleweight champion Israel Adesanya's victory celebration where the New Zealander teased his son.
Pereira and Adesanya fought in a rematch on April 9 at UFC 287. In that confrontation, Alex suffered a second-round knockout loss and lost his middleweight championship belt.
Alex Pereira
I don't know I wouldn't do the same. I don't know, it is seven years ago, he was enduring it and I saw his joy that he had after the knockout because this was his dream. That was his dream and he made it, but we're comparing him [his son] with a child who was five-years-old at the time, right? I don't have that mind.
The first fight between Pereira and Adesanya took place in November 2022 at UFC 281. That fight ended in favor of Alex by TKO in the fifth round.
In July of 2022, Pereira fought Sean Strickland at UFC 276. Alex won that fight by first-round knockout. He has seven wins and two losses under his belt in mixed martial arts.
