On March 22nd in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the featherweight title fight took place at Bellator 302 between Brazilian Patricio Freire and Canadian Jeremy Kennedy.
The match concluded with Freire securing victory through a technical knockout in the third round.

The 31-year-old Kennedy last fought in February 2023 at Bellator 291, where he defeated Pedro Carvalho by unanimous decision. Kennedy's record stands at 19 wins and four losses.
