UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley has expressed his desire for his next fight against featherweight division champion Ilia Topuria.
O'Malley said at the press conference:
Dana, give me a jet to Spain baby, I'm coming for Ilia Topuria. I want Ilia baby, give me Ilia. He's a scary f*cking dude. Ilia excites me, going up a weight class excites me. But I'm, honestly, I'm here for whatever, if you guys want me to knock out Merab [Dvalishvili] I'll do that too.
On 10 March at UFC 299 in Miami (USA) O'Malley held a rematch with Marlon Vera, which ended with a victory of Sean by unanimous decision of judges.
Recall, in the first fight between the fighters, which took place in August 2020 at UFC 252, Vera won by technical knockout in the first round.
The 29-year-old O'Malley has 18 wins and one loss on his record. The 31-year-old Vera has 23 wins, nine losses and one draw.
