Former six-weight world champion and head of Golden Boy Promotions, Oscar De La Hoya, has reacted to Ryan Garcia's desire to fight UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley.
Oscar De La Hoya
I like O'Malley, he's a good striker. It would be a hell of a promotion. I would actually entertain that because Ryan can fight in the main event with this kid and maybe I can do Dana on the co-main. We're cool. I mean, I don't know if we're cool. I don't even talk to the guy. But it doesn't mean that we can't go at it.
The 51-year-old De La Hoya last fought in 2008, losing to Manny Pacquiao. Oscar decided to quit the fight after the eighth round. "The Golden Boy" has 39 wins (30 by knockout) and six losses in his record.
