ACA fighter Tony Johnson, Francis Ngannou's sparring partner, explained the conditions on which the former UFC heavyweight champion signed with the PFL.

Is it possible that Ngannou will ever return to the UFC? No. The UFC offered him eight million for I don't know how many fights. But Francis will make $20 million for two fights plus sponsors. So there's no reason for him to come back to the UFC.
Ngannou left the UFC in January of this year as a free agent and recently signed a deal with the PFL. Ngannou is scheduled to have a boxing bout this year and an MMA fight in 2024.
Ngannou had his last fight against Ciryl Gane of France at UFC 270 in January 2022. Francis won that fight by unanimous decision.
Ngannou made his MMA debut against Rachid Benzina in November 2013 under the 100% Fight Promotions. That fight ended in Francis' favor by a first-round submission. He has 17 wins and three losses in mixed martial arts under his belt.
