Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou of Cameroon has admitted that he intends to return to professional boxing after his PFL debut.
Ngannou said on Joe Rogan's podcast:
I will say MMA [is definitely] next. Because I was supposed to fight, it's been a little over a year now since the PFL agreement, and I was supposed to have a fight within a year so now we're getting a little out of the timeline. I will say most likely boxing [after my PFL debut]. I will see the landscape and who I can get.
Ngannou last fought against Anthony Joshua under boxing rules in March of this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Francis was defeated by knockout in that fight, which was stopped in the second round. He has 17 wins and three losses on his mixed martial arts record.
