Former UFC heavyweight champion and current PFL fighter Francis Ngannou has shared his thoughts on a potential fight between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall.
Francis Ngannou for TMZ
Aspinall needs that fight, (Jones) doesn’t need it. And when you look at it, it’s pretty much true. There’s nothing that he’s going to make in that fight other than money but for Aspinall, that will be everything.
Aspinall last faced Curtis Blaydes in the octagon in July this year at UFC 304. That fight, which was stopped in the first round, ended in a knockout victory for Tom. He now holds a record of 15 wins and three losses.
Jones last entered the ring against Stipe Miocic in the main event of UFC 309 on November 17 in New York (USA). In that bout, which was stopped in the third round, Jon achieved a technical knockout victory, retaining his UFC heavyweight championship belt. Jones has a mixed martial arts record of 28 wins, one loss, and one no contest.
