Nemkov: Fedor Emelianenko's Retirement Not Linked to Bellator Sale

Russian MMA fighter Vadim Nemkov, representing Fedor Team, stated in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net that Fedor Emelianenko's departure from the sport is not related to the desire of former shareholders to sell Bellator.

The issue is that Fedor found it difficult to prepare for MMA fights. That’s why he transitioned to boxing. He is currently training in boxing and he is working hard. He is sparring with us in the mountains, and the sale of Bellator is not connected to Fedor's retirement.

Emelianenko's last fight took place in February 2023 at Bellator 290, where he faced Ryan Bader, the reigning Bellator heavyweight champion.

In that bout, which was stopped in the first round, Fedor suffered a technical knockout loss. His record in mixed martial arts stands at 40 wins and seven losses.
