Former UFC women's flyweight champion Rose Namajunas of the United States has shared her plans after her victory over compatriot Tracy Cortez.
Namajunas won by unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 48-47) in the main event of UFC on ESPN 59 on 14 July in Denver, USA.
Namajunas said in a post-fight interview:
What do I want next? Give me the belt, man. I want it. Either that, or maybe a women's BMF [title fight], I don't know.
Namajunas, 31, last fought at UFC on ESPN 53 in March 2024, defeating Amanda Ribas by unanimous decision. She has 13 wins and six losses on her record.
Cortez, 30, previously stepped into the octagon in September 2023 at UFC Fight Night 227, defeating Jasmine Jasudavicius by unanimous decision. She has 11 wins and two losses on her record.
