No. 3 ranked UFC welterweight Belal Muhammad published a social media post saying he has agreed to fight middleweight division champion Sean Strickland.
Earlier, UFC CEO Dana White said Muhammad has already been booked for a fight that will be announced soon.
Muhammad's post on X reads:
I said yes to Strickland.
Muhammad faced Gilbert Burns in his last fight, which took place at UFC 288 in May 2023. This confrontation, which went all five rounds, ended with Belal winning by unanimous decision of the judges. He has 23 wins and three losses on his account.
Strickland defeated Israel Adesanya by unanimous decision at UFC 293 in September 2023 to become the promotion's new middleweight champion. He has 28 wins and five losses on his record.
