Moicano on Fight with Makhachev: Tomorrow I’m Going to Become Champion

Brazilian UFC fighter Renato Moicano spoke about his upcoming match against the promotion’s lightweight champion, Russia’s Islam Makhachev, which is set to take place on January 19 at UFC 311 in Los Angeles, USA.

Makhachev last fought against Dustin Poirier in June 2024 at UFC 302. In that fight, which was stopped in the fifth round, Islam secured a victory via submission. He boasts a record of 26 wins and one loss.

Moicano last fought in the octagon against Benoit Saint-Denis in September 2024 at UFC Fight Night 243. He won that match through a technical knockout, bringing his overall record to 20 wins, five losses, and one draw.
