Former UFC women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate shared her future plans after defeating Julia Avila at UFC on ESPN 52.
As a reminder, Tate won by submission in the third round.
Miesha Tate
Holm would be a fantastic one [at UFC 300 in April]. That’s one that bothers me actually because people still think, for some reason, that I was just getting my ass kicked in that fight. People still are like ‘That was the greatest comeback ever, so lucky you got that submission’.
Tate and Holm's clash, which took place in March 2016 at UFC 196, ended with Miesha winning by submission (rear naked choke) in the fifth round. The 37-year-old Tate has 19 wins and nine losses on her record. The 42-year-old Holm has 15 wins and six losses.
