Former UFC lightweight title challenger Dustin Poirier has received a suspension from the medical board following his fight against Islam Makhachev at UFC 302.
According to MMA Junkie, Porier was disqualified indefinitely as he suffered a serious knee injury.
On June 2, Poirier lost by fifth-round submission to Islam Makhachev in the main event of UFC 302 in Newark, N.J., on June 2. Islam has 26 wins and one loss in mixed martial arts. Dustin has 30 wins and nine losses, and one more of his fights was ruled a no-contest.
