McGregor Wants to Balance Presidency and Fighting Career If Elected

Former UFC champion in two weight classes, Conor McGregor, has addressed the question of whether he would continue his fighting career if elected President of Ireland. It was previously reported that the Irishman might consider running for this position.

F—ing right I will, of course, are you crazy? That’s part of why I want to do it! To be announced as the President of Ireland while having a fight? Imagine that. But for sure, hell yeah, hell yes.

McGregor last fought against Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. In that match, he lost by technical knockout after breaking his leg.

McGregor made his UFC debut in April 2013 against American Marcus Brimage. The fight, which was stopped in the first round, ended in favor of Conor by technical knockout. He has a record of 22 wins and six losses.
