Former UFC bantamweight champion Conor McGregor commented on the news that Francis Ngannou has signed with the PFL league, where he plans to debut next year.
Conor McGregor in an interview with Ariel Helwani
I'm happy for Francis first of all, fair play...he done his thing. I still think he should've come to a resolution with the UFC. Who is he gonna fight? There's no one. There's no matchup that I can think of that I can even say to myself that it's gonna do big... I just don't see a buzz on an announcement.
Ngannou last fought against Frenchman Ciryl Gane in January 2022 at UFC 270. Francis won that fight by unanimous decision. In January of this year, he left the UFC as a free agent.
Ngannou made his MMA debut against Rachid Benzina in November 2013 as part of the 100% Fight promotion. Francis won that fight by first round submission. He has 17 wins and three losses under his belt.
