Former UFC double champion Irishman Conor McGregor published a post on social media announcing that he has joined the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) testing pool.
McGregor wrote:
I’m back in the pool. Will be doing my stint at high elevation before the bout.
Recall that McGregor must undergo six months of testing before being authorized for a new fight.
McGregor's last fight was against American Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. In this confrontation Conor was defeated by technical knockout after breaking his leg. He has 22 wins and six losses on his record.
The nearest numbered tournament UFC 294 will take place on October 21 in Abu Dhabi. In the main event of the evening Russian fighter Islam Makhachev will fight with Brazilian Charles Oliveira.
