McGregor Receives Conditional Sentence And Loses Driver's License For Two Years

Former UFC double champion, Irish fighter Conor McGregor, has avoided prison time for dangerous driving in Dublin.

In March 2022, McGregor was arrested for dangerous driving after he ran a red light, exceeded the speed limit, and nearly caused an accident in his Bentley Continental GT. Reports indicate that police were chasing him at speeds of 160 km/h to apprehend him.

According to the Irish Mirror, McGregor pleaded guilty to one charge of dangerous driving and one count of careless driving. District Court Judge David McHugh imposed a two-year driving ban and sentenced McGregor to five months of conditional release, provided that he pays a fine of five thousand euros.

The 36-year-old McGregor last fought against American Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. In that match, Conor was defeated by technical knockout in the first round. His record stands at 22 wins and six losses.
