Former UFC double champion Conor McGregor has published a new post on social media, hinting that he may run for president of Ireland.
"Ireland, your president," McGregor wrote, publishing a photo in a white suit.
Recall that the current President of Ireland is Michael Higgins. He has been in office since 2011. The next elections will be held in 2025.
McGregor’s last fight was held against Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264. In that confrontation, Conor was defeated by technical knockout after breaking his leg.
McGregor is currently riding a streak of two consecutive defeats. Conor's return to the octagon is expected next year. He has 22 wins and six defeats on his record in mixed martial arts.
