Former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor addressed UFC featherweight titleholder Alex Volkanovski about his possible fight with Islam Makhachev.
Conor McGregor's tweet
The featherweight moves up to the lightweight division. Good luck. I'd say be heavier. Like the days when you played rugby. Be a bowling ball. That's what I'd do if I were you. I don't know what your condition is now. But bowling ball style is your best shot. Aim for your head in the ribcage.
Volkanovski, 34, last entered the Octagon in July 2022 at UFC 276, beating Max Holloway by unanimous decision. He has 25 wins and one loss to his record.
On October 22, at UFC 280, Makhachev defeated Charles Oliveira by submission (arm triangle choke) in the second round to become the UFC lightweight champion. The 30-year-old Makhachev has 23 wins and one loss to his record.
