Former UFC double champion Irish fighter Conor McGregor revealed when he will be ready to return to the octagon.
McGregor was scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 30, but the Irishman broke his toe and withdrew from the tournament.
McGregor said in an interview with YouTube channel SevereMMA:
The injury is a nuisance; it’s painful, I’m not gonna lie. It’s very, very painful – probably even more painful than the leg, and that’s the truth. When do I plan to come back? As soon as. August, September.
McGregor, 35, last fought in July 2021 at UFC 264, losing to Dustin Poirier by technical knockout in the first round. He has 22 wins and six losses on his record.
