Former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor has commented on the court's ruling against him. The Irishman was found liable in a civil case regarding sexual assault that occurred in December 2018.
McGregor wrote on social media:
I will be appealing today's decision. I am disappointed that the jury did not hear all the evidence that the director of public prosecutions reviewed. I am with my family now, focused on my future. Thank you to all my support worldwide.
McGregor last fought against Dustin Poirier in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he suffered a technical knockout due to a leg fracture. In mixed martial arts, he holds a record of 22 wins and six losses.
