Former UFC referee, now Bellator commentator, John McCarthy explained why reigning lightweight champion Aljamain Sterling should be wary of Henry Cejudo in a fight.
John McCarthy
Guys, you're making a huge mistake by underestimating Henry. This is a guy who knows exactly who he is and what he needs to do. He's going to be a threat to Sterling because Cejudo has been doing it his whole life. Aljamain needs to be very careful in a fight with Cejudo.
Cejudo had his last career fight in May 2020 at UFC 249, where he defeated Dominick Cruz. Henry then ended his career, but at the beginning of 2022, he expressed his desire to return to the UFC Octagon. Henry has 16 wins and two losses under his belt.
Sterling faced T.J. Dillashaw in the Octagon at UFC 280 last October. Thus, he defended his title of the bantamweight division champion. He has 22 wins and three losses under his belt.
