Former UFC welterweight title challenger Jorge Masvidal believes former two-weight champion Conor McGregor is avoiding a fight with him.
Jorge Masvidal, quoted by Sporskeeda
I want Conor, but Conor doesn't want me. It sucks, you know? He just doesn't want it. Every time the UFC's brought it up, he shoots it down. I don't know why. I think I'm [physically] bigger, I think I'm quicker than him, and we both know I hit harder than him, so I get it.
The 38-year-old Masvidal is on a three-fight losing streak. He lost to Colby Covington via unanimous decision at UFC 272 in March. Masvidal's last win came at UFC 244 in November 2019, when he defeated Nate Diaz via third-round TKO. He has a record of 35 wins and 16 losses.
McGregor, 34, had his last fight in July 2021 at UFC 264, losing to Dustin Poirier by TKO in the first round. In January of that year, at UFC 257, Conor lost to Poirier by TKO in the second round. McGregor has 22 wins and six losses.
