Top bantamweight fighter Marlon Vera has announced his intention to return to the octagon in January for a matchup against former two-division champion Henry Cejudo.
Vera told Sportskeeda:
I think January. [Los Angeles] can be great for me so I could have my own crowd...LA could be good or Mexico City for the main event. And I mean, the guy ahead of me is Henry Cejudo...We'll see, I think that's a great fight.
Currently, Vera is on a two-fight losing streak. In his last bout, held in August 2024 at UFC on ABC 7, he lost to Deiveson Figueiredo by unanimous decision. Earlier this year, in March at UFC 299, Marlon suffered another unanimous decision loss to Sean O'Malley. His professional record stands at 23 wins, 10 losses, and one draw.
