Harry Goularte, accused of molesting former UFC champion Cain Velasquez's 5-year-old son, will stand trial for the alleged crime after the boy publicly accused Goularte for the first time during a preliminary hearing.
Goularte, 44, was charged in February 2022 with committing a lewd act upon a minor under the age of 14. Goularte subsequently pleaded not guilty. A new trial is set for March 13.
Velasquez last fought reigning UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in February 2019. In that confrontation, the American fighter lost to his opponent via first-round knockout. He has a record of 14 wins and three losses.
