Dana White wouldn't remove Khabib from the USADA testing pool because he hoped Nurmagomedov would return to MMA. But Khabib was fed up with the testing. He was visited by doping officers for eight months after his career ended.
Khabib, 34, last stepped into the octagon against American Justin Gaethje in October 2020 in the main event of UFC 254. In that confrontation, the Russian fighter won by submission in the second round. After that fight he announced the end of his professional career. He has 29 wins without losses on his record.
