UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev of Russia earned $1.1 million for his win over Alex Volkanovski and the Australian's fee was $1.08 million. This was reported by The SportsGrail.
Makhachev and Volkanovski met in the Octagon on February 12th in the main event of UFC 284. Islam won by unanimous decision to defend his UFC lightweight championship belt.
Makhachev defeated Brazilian Charles Oliveira by second-round choke at UFC 280 in October. Last February, at UFC Fight Night 202, Islam earned a first-round TKO victory over American Bobby Green.
