A lightweight title fight between Islam Makhachev and Arman Tsarukyan will take place on 5 October at UFC 307 in Utah (USA).

Tsarukyan and Makhachev have previously met in the octagon in April 2019 at UFC Fight Night 149. That fight went the full distance and ended in Islam's favor with a unanimous decision. He has 26 wins and one loss in mixed martial arts.
The 27-year-old Tsarukyan has 22 wins and three losses. On 14 April at UFC 300, Arman defeated Charles Oliveira by split decision in a challenger bout.
