Former Bellator champion Andrey Koreshkov shared in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net that he believes Islam Makhachev has more achievements than Magomed Ankalaev in the UFC.

Makhachev has faced stronger opposition, especially compared to the top fighters. He has had four title defenses, while this is only Ankalaev's second title fight. He had a draw in the first one. His notable opponents have been Jan Blachowicz and Aleksandar Rakic. Makhachev has become a dominant champion and has broken the record in the lightweight division. Although Ankalaev has also faced formidable opponents, Islam is more accomplished.
It's worth noting that Magomed Ankalaev's UFC career began with a loss, followed by a remarkable streak of 14 fights without defeat, including one no-contest and a draw in a title match. In his most recent bout, Ankalaev claimed the UFC light heavyweight title from Alex Pereira.
Islam Makhachev has recorded 16 victories and one loss in the UFC. He won the organization's championship title in 2022 and has successfully defended it four times, setting a new record for the division. His current winning streak stands at 15 fights.
