Australian heavyweight Justin Tafa has withdrawn from his fight against Brazilian Marcos Rogerio de Lima due to injury. The fight was scheduled for the night of February 18 at UFC 298. This became known during the official weigh-in.
According to the UFC press service, Justin agreed to be replaced on short notice by his brother Junior Tafa, who made the required weight.
Junior Tafa last fought against Parker Porter in August 2023 at UFC Fight Night 225. Tafa won that fight by knockout in the first round. He has five wins and one loss on his mixed martial arts record. De Lima has 21 wins, nine losses and one draw.
