The UFC heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic is being worked out for a later date, ESPN columnist Marc Raimondi reports.
Recall that the promotion had previously planned to hold this confrontation in the main event of UFC 290, which will take place on July 8 in Las Vegas, USA.

I've seen reports that John and Miocic will fight at UFC 290 in July. It's a fight that all parties are interested in, but it's not going to happen in July. It's much more likely to happen in the fall.
Jones, 35, last fought in March 2023 in the UFC 285 main event for the vacant heavyweight championship belt against Ciryl Gane. That fight ended with Jones winning by choking in the first round. He's got 27 wins and one loss under his belt.
Miocic, 40, lost at UFC 260 in March 2021 to Francis Ngannou by TKO in the second round. He has 20 wins and four losses on his record.
