Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones expressed confidence that he will remain undefeated for the rest of his professional career as a fighter.
Jon Jones, quoted by MMA Underground
I truly believe that God himself has chosen me. I have been chosen to be an undefeated fighter. I truly believe that with all my heart and soul. To win, you have to defeat not only me, but also the Lord I serve. I may have close fights, but I really don't believe I can lose.
Jones will next fight for the vacant UFC heavyweight title against Frenchman Ciryl Gane. The bout will headline UFC 285 in Las Vegas.
Jones, 35, defeated Dominick Reyes by unanimous decision in his last fight at UFC 247 in February 2020. He has 26 wins and one loss under his belt.
