UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones took to social media to express his disappointment with the outcome of the light heavyweight title fight between Magomed Ankalaev and Alex Pereira.

On March 9, Pereira lost to Ankalaev by unanimous decision, losing the title in the light heavyweight division.
Jones last fought against Stipe Miocic in November 2024 at UFC 309. In that match, which was stopped in the third round, Jones secured a victory by technical knockout. His record in mixed martial arts stands at 28 wins and one loss, with another bout declared a no contest.
