Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones shared his thoughts on his upcoming opponent Ciryl Gane, who will face him in the Octagon on March 5th at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, USA.
Do I think Gane is the best puncher I've ever fought? No, I don't. Thiago Santos, Lyoto Machida, the list goes on. A lot of the guys I've fought are very good in the standup. I feel pretty comfortable and it's certainly not a kickboxing fight. Do I feel like I've slowed down? Not at all. I feel quicker and more explosive. I definitely have knockout power that I didn't have before.

Jones last fought his countryman Dominick Reyes at UFC 247 in February 2020. Jones won the fight, which went the distance, via unanimous decision. He has a record of 25 wins and one loss.
The last time Gane stepped into the octagon was last September at UFC Fight Night 209 against Tai Tuivasa of Australia. The fight, which was stopped in the third round, ended in Ciryl's favor via knockout. He has 11 wins and one loss under his belt.
