Former UFC light heavyweight champion American Jon Jones has signed a new contract with the promotion for eight fights. The news was reported by sports columnist Aaron Bronsteter, referring to UFC president Dana White.
On March 4 at UFC 285 in Las Vegas, Jon Jones will fight Cyril Gan for the UFC heavyweight belt left by Francis Ngannou, who became a free agent.
Jones, 35, had his last fight in February 2020 at UFC 247, beating Dominick Reyes by unanimous decision. In July 2019 at UFC 239, Jones defeated Thiago Santos by split decision. He has 26 wins and one loss under his belt.
