
Irish Prime Minister Michéal Martin has responded to remarks made by former two-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor during his speech at the White House.
In his speech, McGregor accused the Irish government of not listening to its citizens and criticized the country's immigration policy.

Conor McGregor’s remarks are wrong, and do not reflect the spirit of St Patrick’s Day, or the views of the people of Ireland,” the Irish prime minister said on X. “St Patrick’s Day around the world is a day rooted in community, humanity, friendship and fellowship.
The last time McGregor stepped into the octagon was in July 2021 at UFC 264, where he suffered a first-round technical knockout loss to Dustin Poirier. His record stands at 22 wins and six losses.
