UFC heavyweight fighter Ciryl Gane of France talked about his desire to get back in the race for the promotion's championship belt by winning his fight against Sergey Spivak on September 2 at UFC Fight Night 226 in Paris.

The better way for me is to do exactly what we did the last years – to put a big message this Saturday, and the message is: ‘I’m still here, I want to go back to the belt.’ This is the better way, shorter way to go to the belt.
Gane last fought against Jon Jones for the UFC heavyweight title in March of this year. In that confrontation, Ciryl was defeated by a choking submission in the first round. He has 11 wins and two losses on his record in mixed martial arts.
