I think he’s turned me down six times. Usually, you have to lose to fight him. So I’m not sure what’s going on. … I fight in MMA. I like to fight big fights. It sounds pretty exciting to me. I’m not going to fight someone on steroids. I’ve never taken steroids in my life and I don’t want to fight someone who is cheating. I probably shouldn’t even say that if I want the fight, but it’s the truth.
On the night of July 30 in Salt Lake City (USA) at UFC 291 Gaethje defeated Dustin Poirier by knockout in the second round.
Recall, the first fight between Poirier and Gaethjey, held in April 2018 at the tournament UFC on Fox 29, ended with the victory of Dustin by technical knockout in the fourth round.
Poirier, 34, has 29 wins and eight losses on his record. Gaethje, 34, has 25 wins and four losses on his record.
