American fighter Justin Gaethje said his chances of fighting former UFC two-division champion Conor McGregor of Ireland have increased.
Justin Gaethje, quoted by Sportskeeda
I mean I lost, so there is a much greater chance that that will happen. He only fights people coming off losses and here we are. I don't think it's gonna happen at all. I mean a fight for purely, strictly, entertainment value, possibly. But as far as coming back and being a competitive athlete, trying to fight for a title, absolutely never again.
In his last fight, held in July 2021, McGregor met with American Dustin Poirier. Conor lost that fight by TKO after breaking his leg in the first round. He has 22 wins and six losses under his belt.
Gaethje faced Brazilian fighter Charles Oliveira in the Octagon last May, at UFC 274. Justin was defeated by a choke in the first round. He has 23 wins and four losses under his belt.
