Former interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje has commented on his future bout against the division's No. 2 ranked Dustin Poirier at UFC 291.

I think [the belt is] really iconic. There's only been two guys in the world that have ever fought for it. We'll be the two out of four guys now. And I think it's, it does great things for the legacy, that's ultimately what we're here to build is a legacy. Make money. And, you know, it catapults us right into the championship talk. So it's perfect.
Gaethje, 34, last fought against Rafael Fiziev in March of this year at UFC 286. In that confrontation, Justin won by majority decision. He has 24 wins and four losses on his record.
