Former UFC heavyweight champion and Cameroonian mixed martial arts fighter Francis Ngannou spoke about the death of his 15-month-old son Kobe.
MMAFighting quoted Ngannou as saying:
[The nurse said,] 'Well, he's gone.' Just like that. I thought I was dreaming. I thought they were going to say that's not true. I kept calling again and everybody confirmed it. I called my mom, my mom is in tears. That hurt a lot. You get back in the apartment and see all his toys, it's right there but he's not there anymore and will never be there anymore.
Ngannou last fought against Anthony Joshua under the boxing rules in March of this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Francis was defeated by knockout in that fight, which was stopped in the second round. He has 17 wins and three losses on his mixed martial arts record.
